Professional Bio

Mike Abreu is the Chief Information Officer of Alivi. He leads the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) technology division and is responsible for the company's technology-enabled solutions.

Mr. Abreu primary responsibilities encompass a wide variety of strategic technology issues including governance and policy, resource allocation, and information technology protocols. He oversees Alivi's information technology organization, application development, managed services, and information security.

He has over 15 years of executive-level experience in Information Technology, Network Communications, Cybersecurity, Cloud Environment, Architecture/Infrastructure, and Project Management.  

Before Joining Alivi in 2017, Mr. Abreu worked as a technology, cyber-security and compliance consultant in the healthcare industry-leading HIPAA privacy and security audits; Health plans compliance audits, NEMT Security program; HIPAA State and federal compliance; Cyber-Security and Cloud Security compliance.

Mr. Abreu holds a Management Information System (MIS) degree from Prospect Hall College. Abreu Gonzalez' wide-ranging experience includes enhancing functionality, providing strong network performance, streamlining workflow processes, and generating high overall system efficiencies for companies.

He is fluent in Spanish and holds several licenses and certifications, including AWS Security Fundamentals, CompTIA Security+, and (ISC)2 Healthcare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner HCISPP.
