Alexander Gomez is the Chief Operations Officer of Alivi. He is tasked with overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the business. He oversees the organization’s ongoing operations and procedures and is a key member of the senior management team. Mr. Gomez maintains control of diverse business operations and secures the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.
Mr. Gomez is a results-oriented senior-level manager with extensive international experience in leading large complex technical teams. He has over 25 years of experience in operations, people management, vendor management, financial administration, and service delivery with Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to Alivi, Mr. Gomez was Vice President of Global Service Delivery for Mastercard Inc. where he led various engineering and project management teams for delivery of network environments and support services for more than 1,000 locations for Mastercard’s worldwide transaction processing customers. Mr. Gomez was also Vice President of Global Network Engineering Services at VISA Inc. In this capacity, he directed multi-functional network operations and engineering teams to provide global support to Visa’s commercial and corporate network environments.
He leverages interpersonal and people management skills to optimize operations and transform individual contributors into high performing teams that deliver business value. Gomez is a confident, tactical planner and customer-centric professional with a passion for service quality.
Mr. Gomez is a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he was awarded the USAF Achievement Medal, and Outstanding Unit Award, among other citations. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese and has been appointed to several industry advisory boards throughout his career, including the Orange Business Services Advisory Board, Hughes Network Systems User Group Advisory Board, and AT&T’s Regional Advisory Council.
Mr. Gomez has a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Florida International University. Additionally, he has completed several certifications including the Executive Development Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, the Leading Organizational Change program at the University of Miami in Florida, and the Project Management Workshop at the Center for Project Management in California, among others.
